This is a side note about using the delco "one wire" or self exciting
alternator.
They work well and are a easy way out on antique vehicles of all kinds
and have become acceptable at many judged shows but the have a small
constant drain which will kill a battery after a week or two of non
use. So if you have a dead battery every once in a while it is normal.
