M123 Ten Ton Truck Gasoline Engine Information Request

I really don't belong on this list, but---

I have been told that the M123 Ten Ton Tractor (2320-00-395-1875) had a very
large gasoline V-8.

I am an Antique Boat restorer. I need to find an engine to replace an 824
Cu. In. V-8 that Chris Craft made in the 1930's. It only had 250 H.P., but
apparently immense torque as it propelled a 10,000 lb. boat 38 feet long with
20 people in it to 30 MPH while turning approx 1700 RPM through a 1 to 1
tranny.

I have been told that the M123 had what might be a potential solution for me,
but so far have been unable to get any specs anywhere on its engine.

Hope someone out there can help me.

Thanks,

guy
