Hi All,

Take the following facts and see what you think the problem might be. The
system is 25 amp generator with 28volt regulator on a Mutt:

1. Vehicle starter motor works and starts vehicle OK (but Bendix sticking).
2. At idle, charging gauge indication is bordering on red.
2a. Charge gauge indication rises with RPM and falls more slowly than the RPM.
3. Electrolyte levels fine.
4. Batteries removed, cleaned and top-up charged.
5. Salted Positive connections cleaned.
6. No change.
7. Fan belt tension is fine.

Hmmph.
Gav.

The fan belt tension seems fine
