Hello Raimondo,

Strangely enough, the M718 is a modified M151A1, and the M718A is a modified
M151A2. It seems they didn't think of a field ambulance in the first model run
of the M151. When the later models came out, the ambulances were included as an
afterthought. Your thoughts made perfect sense. But you have to remember; you're
dealing with the U.S. Army.
