Own a piece of "American" movie history! :-)

As advertised in the Western Command Military Vehicle Historical Society
(the club in British Columbia, Canada) newsletter: An M135CDN with winch
(2-1/2 ton 6x6, mid-1950s, Canadian built, with original automatic
transmission and winch). Used as a backdrop vehicle in Sylvester Stallone's
movie "FIRST BLOOD" which was filmed here in British Columbia, Canada.
Vehicle was serving with 15th Field Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery at
the time apparently (for towing 105mm cannons). Our club President in BC has
truck for sale. Located in Maple Ridge, BC (about 1 hour's drive East of
Vancouver, BC) and 1 hour north of US border. Canadian $5,000 Dan Jahn

For those keen to rent their vehicles to movies, ask lots of questions and
like nuclear disarmament, "trust but verify" :-)

A month or two ago, an M38A1CDN was blown about 75 feet into the air and
landed upside down for the TV movie "Seven Days". No one had wanted to
restore it, and it was deteriorating and vandalized. It was bought
specially for this purpose and became an organ donor. It donated its vital
organs and military parts to its brothers and sisters before making the
ultimate sacrifice.
