Brake fluid consumption

Usually when a vehicle is burning brake fluid it is being sucked into
the intake via the vacuum booster. It usually happens in spurts upon
sudden starts or stops. The booster has to be over half full and it will
slosh into the check valve and line leading to the intake. This is
noticeable due to a powerful smell that is a little worse than the smell
of antifreeze being burned.
