  List,

A M-936 wrecker generally doesn't have a machine gun mount on it.

Speaking of which, common sense dictates ( or it should ) that visible guns
or gun barrels be dismounted before going out cruising around. We have an
edict here on the west coast that machine guns etc be taken off the trucks
before going out over the road in a military convoy.

Like it or not, the mere sight of a gun looking object scares the crap out
of some people ( usually the same ignorant folks who think an APC with a .50
cal is a tank ), and it goes all the way down to the " sensitive people "
who are frightened and offended by the fact you painted your Totota pickup
in OD green which to them made it an " Army Truck ". Like it or not it
becomes your problem to explain yourself to who ever they called on you.

GENERAL DISPLAY OF WEAPONS ( particularly on the highway and in populated
areas ) IS ASKING FOR TROUBLE !

Of course, if I'm so smart, why ain't I rich?

Randy
