Over the hump...

Hi list,

First, let me say that Amy and I appreciated all the good wishes sent by the
list members regarding our most recent trials. Christian is nearly ready to
come home and we can't wait! He's a cute little fella.

Yesterday turned out to be cool, and clear and most important.....DRY! And
I had TIME to myself. Amy went off to the hospital to sit and admire our
son and I set up the sandblaster and got busy! The brake backing plates are
D O N E! Gee, it has only been (what?) a month!?! So the great stumbling
block has been overcome! Predictably, today is cool and wet (again) but no
matter....I am going to dive back in and get the Scout back on her wheels
for the next phase of the project. I am desparately looking to get the
Scout ready for Operation Cobra but I have many doubts that I will make it
in time. We shall see.

Anyone have an extra steering arm for a half ton WC? We found my buddy's
has been welded to the top half of the steering knuckle flange assembly for
some obscure reason that has been lost to antiquity. We took great care in
removing it (and I would re-use it as it IS better than marginal) but he
seems set on wanting a replacement for it.

Looking for a steering arm for a half ton WC.

Happy Holidays!
TJ
