Remember that you, the taxpayer or voter, accept the services of high school
kids which you allow to graduate with a 3rd grade reading level, pay them at
a poverty level for a minimum contract period of two years, during which
time they gain few to no skills applicable on the outside of the military.
During their service time, you force them to pay for portions of the
services "afforded" them, like health care and leave, at exhorbitant rates
which a union worker would not accept. You ask them to deploy at a moment's
notice, with unclear guidance for the mission, and at the tender age of 19
ask them to decode complex status of forces agreements so they can preserve
their own lives and those of their co-workers. You allow mistreatment of
their dependents while they are deployed, causing them undue strain while
they are in a hostile environment...

WHAT DO YOU EXPECT?
