As Arthur is MIA for the time being I'll voice it for us all. KNOCK IT
OFF.
Everyone is naturally entitled to their opinion and constitutionally
(for US members anyway) guaranteed the right to voice it. This, however, is
not productive and not in the spirit of the list. This group contains
everyone from the oldest enthusiasts to the newest. There are plenty who
know zero because the HMV may be the first vehicle they ever had to actually
work on themselves.
Flames are to be kept OFF LIST. Send it privately or not at all and keep
in mind the adage "If you can't say something nice it may be better to say
nothing at all". Better to ignore the question than to start a problem.
Remember each message is directed to hundreds of people... not you
personally. Retaliatory flames are just as bad or worse since they
perpetuate the problem.
Keep in mind that it is good policy to read your own message before
sending and try to do it as if you are the intended recipient. Remember that
in public the insulter is often damaged equal to the insulted.
