flasher mystery solved

The military flasher is quite simple to convert to (much cheaper) civilian
units.
There are three pins on the military flasher connection. One is ground, One
is hot when the flasher is turned on and the other lead goes back to the
switch to direct the winky signal to the appropriate lamps.

Anyway, the conversion is simple. Get a 2 pin Heavy duty 24 volt flasher
form your local parts dealer and hook it up between the hot lead and the
return lead. No pain, no problem.

If you were one of those "everything must look original" nutts you could
take a busted mil unit and dig out the potting material and place a
mechanical flasher inside.

Works like a charm.
