        Guys..

George Milsop, a member of our MVPA and reenactment group recently
passed away. He was a Marine at Pearl Harbor on Dec 7th, wounded
at Midway, and involved at Saipan and Okinawa. Please go to our
web page at http://www.6thcav.com and goto the In Memory menu
choice on the left bar to see more details.

He told me a story of the Pearl harbor attck. He said that the
attack awoke
him in the barracks. They were hung-over from Saturday night
drinking.
He said he first thought the noise was someone dredging the channel.
Then he saw an airplane with a meatball on the wing. About that
time,
someone yelled "The Japs are here!" Another Marine then said
"Change
your brand of whiskey and go back to sleep!" A very fine and
honorable Marine.
We will miss him in our Pearl Harbor reenactment at the Wings over
Houston
Airshow. He is the only reenactor who does not die in the attack. We
figure that
they didn't get him the first time, so they won't get him in the
reencatment!

He was one of the few, that is for sure. Please remeber him in your
hearts and prayers...
