This is not a flame, but a response to Antoine's post.

Response:
WRONG! An M1 Carbine would be carried by the occupants of certain MV's and
for MVPA judging purposes, are considered to be "vehicle accessories" and
are included in the tally of points for the vehicle being judged. This is
ofcourse, provided that the particular weapon is likely to have been carried
on such a vehicle. In effect, an M1 Carbine would be OK on a CCKW and an M16
would be OK on a HMMVW, but not vice versa.

Response:
There are MV's other than WWII era MV's and matters concerning these
vehicles are discussed regularly. It is unfortunate, though inevitable, that
WWII vehicles have mainly settled into permanent, static-display museums and
the few that remain running are cost prohibitive to many people.

Response:
Again, just because you don't have a particular interest in using weapons as
vehicle accessories, doesn't mean that it should be considered off-topic.
