M54 Hubs - removal and replace - techniques??

I have an M51 (M54 dump version) and I would like to pull the hubs to regrease
the wheel bearings. I had to pull off one set of duals (wow are those
wheels/tires heavy!) and I got down to the hub and chickened out. The brake
drum and hub assembly has to be at least 150 lbs, am I right. How do I pull
the hubs without damaging the seal, banging up the axle threads, etc and not
drop the brake drum and hub on my feet once I actually get it free, all while
bending over to get underneath the dump body. I could try and balance the hub
on a jack and roll it out, but that also sound precarious.

I have a bad hub seal on one front wheel, so I have to get these hubs off
somehow.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks

Dave
