Has anyone on this list had any recent experience in buying--or trying to
buy- the Russian (actually Ukrainian) "kits" of nos parts to build a BMW
R75-clone sidecar motorcycle? Have heard that US Customs is denying entry of
similar Chinese Chang Jiang 750 "military" rebuilds--is this also a problem
with the Dnepr kits available from Canada? Am aware that these bikes can be
real dogs in terms of reliability and build quality--that is obviously
reflected in the price. All info and opinions would be appreciated. I am a
new subscriber so would also like to know if subject has come up in past and
anything relevant is in archives.
