Howdy List;
I found the easiest way to get a CDL for my staff when needed is to get them
licensed as a bus driver. Talk to your local school bus contractor or
someone who uses a bus, like YMCA or ???? to see if they would let you take
a test in their rig. Find a few other friends that want to get a CDL to
split the cost of renting the bus if needed. You will need a licensed
driver to get you down to take the test, but if you do this in the summer
when school is out, both buses and drivers are available. When done you have
an interstate CDL with passenger endorsement and air brakes if the bus you
took them in had them and you took that part of the test. Hope this helps
someone!
