Hello List

Thanks for all of your replies. Julian Burke suggested checking the cable
for a shorted wire... I swapped cables and I got sound again and lights on
both radios.... :) Strangely enough I hooked up the old cable again and
this too worked? Perhaps I just happened to get a good ground the first time
(the lugs on the cable are too short to reach across the batteries to get on
both posts) so I was just grounding the Negative lug.... Or maybe the
breaker did finally reset... or maybe there was a melted wire that made
connection as I was swapping and twisting the cables around... Regardless I
am very happy they are still operational.....

This brings me to my next question. I don't have the instructions on hooking
these up, but since I was in the military on tanks, I do have experience with
the connections.... basically hook up the power J1... interconnect the AUX
w/ J2 connect the thin antenna cable and the thick antenna cable to the
matching unit. I have the little grommets that protect the cables as they
are going through the body... my question is where and how do you mount the
cable back trhough the rear fender wells and where do you cross over to get
to the other antenna. I seem to remember having some clips in one of my
parts boxes.... where do these install and how do they affix... do they go
on the frame rail?... It would be nice to get an explanation of how to
route/affix the cables or a diagram/pics somewhere on the net would be even
better.... :) Also... can you use a matching base with the Aux I know its
not necessary just happens to be what I mounted there... I do have the other
base that doesn't have the matching unit in it... but if it works either way
I might keep it on there since I repainted it last fall....

Thanks again for all the help.
Tony
