Friday evening I pulled the master cylinder and tore it down. It was in
good condition with what appears to be a recent rebuild kit installed. I
couldn't find anything wrong so I re-assembled and installed it.

I pulled the bleeder valve out of the driver's side front brake cylinder,
added fluid to the master cylinder, and pumped the brake
pedal. Nothing. I checked to passenger side front. Nothing. Gave up for
the night.

Saturday... daughter's birthday party this AM, so I didn't get to the
Carryall until afternoon. I started by visiting local parts places to see
if anyone had a master cylinder. Found one for $140 which was a little bit
too much. I decided I'd order one Monday from Midwest Military for about
half that. In the mean time I took the old master cylinder out again and
decided to bench test it.

It worked fine on the bench. I put it back in the truck again. This time
I had bench bleed it before putting it in. It developed pedal pressure
this time, but still no brake fluid to the front wheels. I started back
tracking from the drivers side wheel. Ultimately found the flexible line
running to the front axle "T" was the culprit. Completely blocked, nothing
was getting through to the front axle "T". This lead me to take a closer
look at the rest of the flexible brake line and it's all old and
cracked. I'll need to replace them all.

Is it best to pull the old ones and take them to a local brake shop to have
replacements made up? Or is this a common set I could order from Midwest
Military or VPW for a lot less money?

After cleaning up I got to open my NOS wiring harnesses. Upper and lower
harness like new from Midwest Military. Half a century sealed in those
boxes, better than Christmas. :-) Then I spent some time with the
manuals, looking over the wiring layout. I was going to dig into it
tonight, but I'm tired, and wiring isn't something I do well tired.

Parts at the bead blaster's were supposed to be done Friday, but they got
hit with a big job and it will be Tuesday now. No problem, I've got plenty
to do in the mean time.

Mark at RAPCO called me back Friday morning and I've got Gillespie "Khaki"
Olive Drab paint on the way. Thanks again to everyone who offered paint
source suggestions.
