Last fall, I managed to purchase a 1985 M1010 at a city auction. The truck
has 22K miles and is in good shape. I inherited a charging problem with the
truck that I have been searching for the answer. That is what led me to
this site several months ago.
The charging system consists of 2 28V, 100A generators charging the two 12V
batteries. I get 28V accross the batteries but one battery will overcharge
and the other will go flat. I found a listing from 1997 describing the
exact same problem but no followups were given. I have wiring diagrams on
the way and hope that they will shed some light on this problem.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
