Re: [MV] WWII Specific MV List

I really hate to see the list split up, when there are other less divisive
alternatives. I own some stuff from all eras, and I enjoy all of the
different opportunities to expand my knowledge through the mil-veh list. If
there is another list, I will feel like I am missing something, but I am
already on plenty of lists, and I would rather not join yet another .I cant
remember that many addresses. Besides, what will be the solution when the
WWII jeep people get sick of hearing about cckw's or command cars ? Picture
the "jerry can list", now there's some entertainment for the Maytag repairman.
What about the future of the hobby ? This separtist attitude will not allow
the 18 year old who originally found the list due to an interest in Humvees,
to become intrigued with the multi faceted minutia of GPW
restoration. I keep all my vehicles in the same barn, and most kids that come
over think the Command car is cooler than the Humvee.
The solution in my humble opinion is to make better use of the Title block
and Delete features.Secondly, like somebody smart said, the list is what you
make it. If the group is going to be divided, the natural split will be those
who actively participate in this list, and those who do not.
Come on, lets all stay on this list.........
There are not enough of us as it is without turning our backs on each other.
No offense to anyone intended,
John Woerheide (actually interested in jerry cans, as I work with Wheeling
Corrugating , one of the original producers of them, some even
galvanized.....)
