Hello listers,
I just wanted to remind everyone in the Southern California area of the
17th Annual Antique Truck Show this Sunday, May 6, 2001 at California
High School in Whittier, CA. The address is 9800 S. Mills Ave. The
show is put on by the Southern California Chapter of the American Truck
Historical Society.
The event is open to the public from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM, but show
trucks should be in place by 9:00 AM. Admission for spectators is $3.00
for adults and $1.00 for youths 12-16. Kids under 12 are free.
Show truck admission is $15.00. The host club gives out handsome
trophies made out of painted truck parts with a nice wooden base to the
winners of many categories. There is usually a good sized Military
Vehicle section, with at least three clubs in attendance.

This is a great show with upwards of 150 trucks usually in attendance.
There is also a swap meet area and the various student organizations
sell food items. You will enjoy the show if you attend.
