"B-M"

No, it doesn't stand for Bowel Movement.
I have an item from the junk found in my old
military panel that resembles a copper joint
for sweating two pieces of pipe together. It appears to be steel,
however.
  A hollow cylinder 1" dia.X 1 15/16" long. Fairly
thin wall, a slight inside chamfer on one end.
A quick trip to the wire wheel and "B-M" in bigger letters, under it
says CAT.NO.BM42,
PAT.APLD. in smaller.
Is "B-M" a military parts supplier?
  Just looking for clues...
Thanks, Don Kenyon
