I am sending this to the list since this is the second inquiry I have gotten
on this in as many weeks.
I believe that the cabling is the same on the following:
M62
M543 et al
M816
The references I have used in this are:
TB9-2320-211-12/1 as well as change 1 (this is a M543 specific bulletin)
ORD 9 SNL G-744 (which covers the family)
ORD 8 SNL G-744 April 1956 (all the rear winch cable info in this is wrong)
TM 9-8029-3 (which covers the M62)

I'll start with the hoist cable....
The manuals usually specify "1/2 inch 6x9 cable," HOWEVER change 1 (dated 16
August 1962, corrects this to read 1/2 inch 6 x 19 cable 95 feet, 5 inches
long, (on the M62 only this is 104 feet 4 1/2 inches long), the Ordnance part
number is 22-R-1365, Stock number H009-0856270.
The part numbers for this cable assembly on an M62, which was an
Austin-Western product, are:
