Sounds like a Ford GP.

Very desirable in the USA. Rare, but not as rare as its contemporaries the
Willys MA and Bantam BRC as there were more Ford GPs made. .

Look for completeness (parts are HARD to find and expensive). Front two
bucket ARMY seats? Rear bench seat? Original engine - matching numbers? Look
for data plates. Conversions? Still 6 Volt? Original paint and markings? Any
hotrodding? How bad is the rust? etc. etc.

I found a Ford GP in a barn in WA state a few years ago (actually the owner
found me!) but the owner said he would not sell it - only the GPW and M100
he also had. He later sold the GP to another collector. :-(

Not enough info to give you any values. Photos would be essential for any
opinion, plus data plate info (e.g. date made/delivered, serial number,
contract number) and the original USA registration number painted on the
hood (if it is there or legible).

Be careful of looking at RESTORED Ford GP values. An unrestored one is worth
a small fraction of a restored one due to rust, missing parts, missing data
plates (?),and messy or missing title. Parts are VERY hard to find, and
expensive and reproductions are needed - also expensive. Distance to ship
it. If in Canada, the exchange rate on parts )IF you can find them) from the
USA KILLS you - doubling the cost. Ouch!

Not usually a good idea for a first project, due to cost and difficulty due
to rarity, BUT it probably should be saved.
