Almost a year ago now someone (I assume the fire department) had a
get together of vehicles in a McDonalds parking lot in Columbia
Tennessee. The purpose for this gathering was for young people to be
able to see and learn about "vehicles they should respect". I also own a
1-ton civilian wrecker so someone mentioned going to me. There was
a display by the national guard of course, ambulances, fire trucks
,service trucks of several different kinds, police cars and other things
like road graders. When I pulled up in my deuce I was asked to leave
because this was only for "vehicles which should be respected by the
kids, not some old Vietnam junk."
Whilst leaving a group of kids and their fathers stopped me (right
in front of the drive thru speaker) and wanted to see my truck so I took
my time and gave them the royal tour while blocking traffic on two
streets but I really didn't care.
