Evidently, Pike Bishop does not read his emails or subsequent postings. As
per my original response, I Have No Idea who He is. As stated by me, these
tops were sent to me by Greg Rainone (Wildbunch Weapons Co.) in May 1996. If
Pike Bishop is a disgruntled partner or former acquaintance of Mr. Rainone,
he should settle things w/ him. The tops in question were sent to me to be
evaluated for replacing webbing and buckles (although these were supposed NOS
tops, the buckles had all rusted, causing the webbing and canvas in the
contact areas to disintegrate. I informed Mr Rainone that I would not
consider repairs, as in my opinion, these supposedly NOS tops had not been
not stored well by the prior owners and suffered from "Dry Rot." I was then
asked if I would reproduce these using the originals as patterns. At that
time Mr. Rainone was told that I would need actual measurements of the
vehicles so that I could compensate for shrinkage. That was the end of any
correspondence w/ Mr. Rainone on these tops. They have been sitting here in
the boxes that he sent them in, untouched since May 1996. As stated in my
prior reply and in an email to Pike Bishop, I'll gladly send them back as I
have no desire to produce Scout Car or Half Trac Tops. Pike Bishop can PHONE
me @ my toll free number to discuss his relationship w/ Greg Rainone and
terms as stated. Incidentally, I am probably one of the most accessible
vendors in this hobby due to the amount of shows that I attend every year. In
fact, since May 1996, I have attended at least 6 Swap meets in Texas as well
as every MVPA Convention in that time frame. I find it absurd that he claims
that he cannot contact me! Once again, Pike Bishop, whoever you are, I can be
reached @ 1 (888) ODCLOTH. I'll even pay for the phone call! I must state
once again, in my own defense, that Pike Bishop is a DAMNED LIAR as he has
NEVER made any attempt at contacting me.
I'll now make this His Dilemma. These tops will be disposed of on 31 July
2001 if arrangements are not made to have them returned to Greg Rainone prior
to that date.
I have stored these long enough!
