The bridge plate number is the Gross Vehicle Weight ( vehicle plus load )
in tons.( Let's not start that topic again.). For example:
20,000 lbs. vehicle plus 10,000 lbs. load = 30,000 lbs. GVW.
The bridge plate would have the number ''15'' showing.
The only letter that I am aware of is the letter ''C'' which appears above
and centered over the gross ton number. The letter ''C'' means either combination
or combined --> your truck pulls a trailer. The bridge plate would then show
the GVW of the truck plus the GVW of the trailer.
If and when you start crunching numbers and come up with , let's say 11, 1/2 tons
you would round up and show ''12'' on your bridge plate.
Net and gross vehicle weights can be found on your data plates.
I have also seen where these same bridge plates are used to show your position
in a convoy.
You'll have to ask either James Bond or ''Q'' about the GVW of a M1007 ( Suburban ).
Hope this helps,

Subject: [MV] Bridge Plate Letters and Numbers for M35A2...

Hello All...

What should the bridge plate numbers and letters be for an M35A2?

How about for a CUCV (M1007)?

Thanks!
