M35A2 Guru's ... questions

Ok, if you perused the photos, you can see it runs.
BUT... While doing the parades on the 4th, we developed a bunch of rear
axle leaks. 1st one on the left rear front duals on way to the 1st parade,
then right front set of duals after the 1st parade and then the right rear
set of duals at the completion of the 2nd parade (left rear hasn't started
dripping yet, but I haven't gotten outside yet this AM).
I know, if it ain't leaking, it's out of oil...
The oil pools at bottom of rim, but I haven't seen it dripping out of
the brake drum yet and it only seems to appear when stopped (don't know
where in the hell it hangs out while moving, but stop and there it is. As
each puddle is discovered it is noted that most of the rest of the rim
surface is dry until stopped and stands for a few minutes?) Braking does not
yet seem to be affected (but I'm sure it will.)
If it was just one wheel, I might be inclined to give it a shot on an
inclined, not level, dirt driveway. But 3 (and probably 4) ain't in the
cards yet. I have perused both the 209 and 361 manuals for direct support
pertaining to inner and outer seal replacements. The dual wheel dolly seems
to be a critical item, and if you read my post about the NOS rusty piece of
crap Coleman's is selling, that source ain't an option. Other companies start
around $550 and go up. Called around to rental shops with no joy.
My thanks to Henry for the posted number for the outer seal.
    Guru Question #1a,b
Which seals are the most common to fail? Inner or outer?
    GQ #2
Anyone got commercial truck numbers for the seals, bearings etc?
I perused most of the M35A2 sites I've bookmarked, but most seem to
have copied Mark's green truck info page if they have anything on part
number interchanges.
    GQ #3a,b,c
How often do these seals go south? And does anyone know why they
tend to fail?
I was told by one guy " they fail all the time. It is a constant problem
on the M44 series trucks". Is this true?
    GQ #4a,b,c,d
For you big truck operators.... What can I expect to pay per axle to
have this job done at a commercial truck repair shop or truck stop facility?
Do they have capability to cross ref or substitute parts? Has anyone had
their M35A2 seals done this way and what did it cost you? Did you have to
supply the parts to them or get them as they tore things down?
    GQ #5 a,b,c,d,e
Who has purchased the seals from supply line or MVMag advertisers
and which vendors? Did they send the right parts in good condition? Good
prices or forcibly raped? Satisfied with the vendor for phone help and hand
holding? Good or bad experience?

I know...If ya can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch. I'll have
to buy the 2 sets of 10 ton high lift jack stands and more bottle jacks if I
want to play with the Big Iron. Got the 3/4" drive set and the 3/4" impact
with sockets and 5 gallon drain pans and etc... But the truck is gonna sit a
while if I have to pour a pad and buy a wheel lift. It ain't worth trashing
a back or breaking bones to Mickey mouse a fix. Lucky usually only happens
once per job.

So it's help the newbie time, or trash and flame. Usually a nugget of
gold in every message.

    Regards, Ron

Oh, BTW been 938 hits on yesterdays albums as of 10 min ago. Don't you guys
like me? Nobody ever leaves any comments in the Guestbook, like ID's of
vehicles, or witty comments. I know your going there.... :-{
