List,

Anyone who will be in the Minneapolis/Saint Paul, Minnesota area on the last
weekend in July (28-29) should try to stop at the Fort Snelling Military
Expo. It is, basically, an open house at the post. All five branches of the
services are represented. The Air Force Reserve usually brings in a C5A or a
B52 and some F16's. The Air Guard Museum has an extensive collection.
Historic Fort Snelling will be open, with reenactors in period costumes from
the 1840's. There will be two different Army Bands playing. The Drill Team
from the Old Guard will perform. The Fort Snelling Military Museum will put
on programs, twice daily, using operational vehicles ranging from a Mule to
a Sherman tank, to an M60 tank, and many other vehicles. We have about 50
vehicles on display. The best part is that it's all free! The downside is
that this is an open house for the post, not a swap meet. No vendors, but
still a great way to spend a day.
