Well...if it's on my own private property and
operable, I don't see how it's any of their business
whether or not it's registered or inspected. It's not
being operated on their roads, so it shouldn't be any
concern of theirs.

It's (only) about $45.00 to have it registered -BUT-
to get it registered, you have to have liability
insurance. That costs about $250 or so for a 6-month
policy. I can get a 1-month policy 1/6 of that, but
it's just silly...liability insurance for the car to
sit in my driveway? If all I had to pay was
registration -or- insurance, I'd probably just do
it...the combination of the two for a car I don't
operate beyond my driveway is ludicrous.
