Greetings:

There will be a M/V show and military products flea market in Mattituck,
(Long Island) New York, during Columbus Day weekend. Set-up will be on
Friday 5 October, after 1800 hours. and the show will take place Sat & Sun,
6 & 7 October. Refreshments will be available. Over-night bivouac available.
Many very nice B & B accommodations available, also.

The location is the North Fork Bank parking lot, a three-acre tree-lined
paved area, surrounded by a multitude of stores, shops, and restaurants, with
easy access from the Long Island Expressway and the New London (CT) to Orient
Point (NY) ferry terminal. There is a Long Island Rail Road station nearby,
and the Sunrise Coach Lines (631-477-1200) has a bus stop right at the
location, for those who wish to visit for the day from NYC.

Driving Directions:

(From the West) - Long Island Expressway to end, follow County Road 58, then
NY State 25 to Mattituck. (Approx a 1.5 hour ride from NYC)

(From the East) - Ferry from New London, CT to Orient Point, NY. Road trip is

This is an annual event which in the past has been small but successful. This
year, we hope that it will be even bigger. We will have a new location,
right on the main road that carries tourist traffic to and from the N Y City
area to the wine growing areas and other tourist spots of interest. This is
a very busy weekend out here, and vendors are sure to score big with the
beautiful people and touristas. Even if you do not wish to stay and/or
exhibit, you are welcome to attend with your MV, and to take part in this
celebration of Columbus Day, Green Iron, and national pride.

The cost for a generously-sized space is $30. In the past, we have had
vendors from as far away as Massachusetts and Maryland. Items that have been
offered for sale have ranged from dog tags to M35's.

Several members of the local MV club will be showing off their green iron,
among them several Jeeps, M-series, HMMMV's, searchlight trailers, Dodge
trucks, including a beautifully restored M37 maintenance vehicle, mules w/
accessories, USMC helicopter from the Viet Nam era, etc, etc.
