You really wonder sometimes just who is motivated to promulgate 'computer
terror' like this. You guess young punks, but here is an example of an
'old-timer' on this List who would appear, from his attitude, to be part
of the problem and not part of the solution. His heartwarming missive,
sent anonymously from behind his mother's skirts, might prove interesting:

your a fu__ __as_ you know that? I've been reading your stupid posts for
a few days now apparently you've been on the internet since 1990 but
have only just now figured out how to post to a list. gee I've been on
since 1981 and everything works just fine for me.

No one cares about your use of linux and non-use of microsoft stuff. one
can only hope someone will release some viruses for linux and fu__ up your
world for a change. your attitude sucks and we dont need sh_theads like
you on the list you cocky sob.

Linux is not something I use daily, but reading comprehension should have
revealed that. There is a very good chance that the remailing service this
user hides behind is Unix/Linux based and abuse.xganon.com might take his
point of view to task. And Linux/Unix is especially 'immune' to viruses,
etc in part because Linux developers are constantly attacking it and
fixing any weakness in the system. This is possible because every Linux
user has in his posession the _entire_ software to the Linux system,
nothing about it is hidden from view. My suggestion that Listers install a
Linux system (Mandrake - nice choice) just to do email, would save them
all these problems, and cost next to nothing. Any pre-Pentium 486 would do
the job beautifully, and these are available everywhere. And there is so
much support available elsewhere, that this List need not be clogged with
any 'oh no, I got the latest M$ virus thingy, whatever shall I do'
complaints like it is now. <sarcasm/bewilderment>.

Nice to know there are Listers who take pleasure in the pain suffered by
other Listers under attack, and who offer no aid or counsel. <sarcasm on
my part> Perhaps he could inform the group how he has managed to 'keep
everything working just fine for him since 1981'. But please don't use
sarcasm or hyperbole for effect, might be too much to handle.

>From now on I'll try to follow any s&h comments that I utter with the
<sarcasm and/or hyperbole> delineator <promise>. Some listers are very,
very sensitive about this.
