I'm just going by what someone told me, based on the NSN numbers that is on
the two sections. Both show the NSN number of 8340-00-266-6780, and says
"Tent Section End for Tent Assy., with cover". If I was given wrong
information, I apologize. No intent to mislead. I deal with trucks, not
tents.

Helen,

I have to admit, right up front, that I'm not in the market for a tent. I
do, however, have a couple of comments/questions about this posting.

The GP Medium tent didn't have "end sections". It was all one piece. Do you
mean that you took two damaged GP Mediums, cut the damaged portions off,
and
sewed the two remaining ends together? If that is the case, I would suggest
that you make that clear in your message. The buyer should be aware that
he/she would be getting what amounts to a "home-made" tent.

You mention the center pole being made out of pipe. That wouldn't be a
problem, except for the fact that a GP Medium tent doesn't have a center
pole. It has a ridge pole that is supported at each end by an upright. If
your tent has a single center pole, it can't be a GP Medium. It might be a
GP Small, but then it would be hexagonal. If actually has four upright
poles, then it is a GP Large. A Large is about half again as large as a
Medium.

I'm not some kind of tent expert, but I did spend 26 years in the US Army,
so I have had some experience with them. I am simply seeking some
clarification.

John

Great tent for display events, family reunions, etc. Consists of 2 GP
Medium end sections, mated together to make one tent. Comes with 16 wood
poles (2 missing from set of 18) and has homemade center pole made of pipe
with a metal base plate. All rope is there. No pins. Canvas is not
rotted, but there are 3 small, repairable tears. Buyer arranges shipping -
and be warned, it's heavy. Will consider all reasonable offers.
