Generators, Mil Vehicle content and TOW MUTT

Appreciate the interesting Generator info, and could use help on mil 3K
24Vlt conversion ideas to 120AC (direct e-mail though)

Having said that, I went to a generator site (electrical home power stuff,
Y2K fanatics, etc.) for info on generators (especially civilian ones)
instead of the Mil Veh Digest for the info, as it's another one of those
LONG non -MV related discussions. (No, I'm not the NET police, but admit
it, it's getting LONG in Tooth here...)

As a foot note to the frequency Sine wave problems, the use of a computer
battery backup device such as made by APC (they have a web site for any size
you want) would clean up a lot of those "bad" waves, and allow TV's and
other fine items to operate. I managed to Zap a small TV when I hooked it
up to the RV generator, and still need to see if I can merely replace the
fuse....

MV Content: The DoD criminal investigation (CID) guys came down from Battle
Creek, looked over my TOW system (This time I only bothered to show them the
barrel and night site, as I'm bored with this investigation it, and that's
all they are required to see....)
After he looked the stuff over, started asking me where I could get a LAW
tube. I said: "Any gun show, or off e-bay, but they are going higher in
price now" He then asked me if I knew about the Avenger......I said: "I
think it's the twin tube launcher for Stingers mounted on the back of the
HUMVEE, but don't know much about them...... The Taliban have Stingers
though, .... And 40+ countries including the Iranians have the TOW system"

So he hands me his card and wants me to tell him about anything I see coming
out of DRMO that's suspicious.....
Ok, whatever..... (Like I don't have enough to do MY own job being Military
Consequence Management of CBRNE WMD events.)

So the TOW system is still sitting on my Jeep, awaiting the day when
someone finds a nice Day sight to make it an even better display.

I'll wait a Month then use the Freedom of Information act to allow me to
obtain the report (joke) on my system, just for future nut cases that think
it's a hostile weapon and call the DoD hotline again.
(By the way, not a question was raised about the multitude of ATF
registered Operational artillery I own sitting next to the TOW jeep, Nor
about the M151A2 sitting under the system. Oh well, priorities.
