I called and spoke to the owner, Rod Robbins. There are either two or
three of them. Condition is unknown, but have been stored outside
without cover for years. Could be surface rust, could be scrap iron.
These were listed as being multY
engines for a M52 5 ton truck they used to move houses. 196 HP at 2600
rpm. These are really long engines, too. Longer than the 478 cu inch
LDT-465-1 multifuels.
Anyone interested, they are free for pickup in south Seattle. Not on
pallets, currently. Call Rod at 206-244-1023. He also has an airforce
M52 tractor with 5th wheel hitch and a couple of winches on it. Looks
rough. He claims it was drained and set up for storage, about 5 years
ago. Stored outside. Claims it runs. Wrong seats, wrong tires (big
cement truck tires on it). Definitely needs work.
