Joe, I am in NC, and here if a vehicle is over 10,000 pounds it cannot be
registered as a "Private Vehicle" and has to be registered as "Commercial".
Nothing other than a regular commercial plate I was told, $145.00 a year,
based on 14,000 pounds.
