The answer to whether an M35 air compressor can power a 1" impact wrench
is answered easily by comparing the cfm out put of the M35 ( is this in
the manual?), to the cfm requirements of a 1" impact wrench. A commercial
duty 1" impact wrench that puts out between 800 and 1600 ft. lbs. of max
torque will require about 40 cfm of actual air at 90 lbs. ( not to be
confused with the lower rating of average air ). The air wrench will run
with much less air but your performance will be much less meaning it will
preform more like a lower rated 3/4" drive and you will be sitting there
for much longer.
