John,
I spent 21 years in the US military in tactical units, all of it in Europe,
Africa and the Middle East. I drove (and instucted how to drive) over 2
dozen types of M-Series vehicles. The only ones that we left the pioneer
tools on were the M151's and Humvees that we used for forward air control.
All of our 2 1/2 ton and 5 ton vehicles had the racks installed, but not the
tools (high theft rate?)
