Hi Aaron:

I sell them, take a look at my web page www.radiotech.com and click on the
24-12 button, we discount from the Astron list price. They are good units, I
install them in construction equipment reguarly, my own trucks and sell them
to Heil trailer to go into a military trailer called a PLC-4 (Can anyone
tell me what kind of trailer this is? just curious).

Hank

I was thinking of winding my own transformer to step down a voltage to get
12V to power optional items and whatnot (Radio, AEGs, other electronics).
Where can I get this Astron Converter?

Aren't the Astron ones less expensive? $ 240 for a 40 amp unit sounds
high

Hey, I did A LOT of research, and bought from REDARC. Its an austrailian
firm. I bought a SMF60 60 amp unit for 600 aud shipped to my door, thatıs
300US dollars. The SMF40 40amp was 240US dollars. 60 amps was overkill, but
if I run it at 40, the unit has yet to get hot.
