Deuce Shutoff

David is the authority here, but I will add the following -
Richard Greene, whom I bought my truck from, had suggested
that I push the handle back in after the truck was shut down,
to take tension off the shut-off extension spring. His experience
was that over time they will stretch and eventually require
replacement.

That said, a shutoff cable is substantially cheaper than
the consequences of a runaway 13K lb vehicle.
