Re: [MV] Gov Liquidation

While I have posted my own warnings about a recent sale of GL, I have to
side with Tim in regards to GL trying to get the bugs worked out of the
system.
After my post I was contacted by David Wright by email and then he
called me and we spent over an hour on the phone walking through my charges.
He expressed his frustration with my posting to the list instead of
contacting GL first. I suppose his trying to deal with our charges, flying
in from all sides, and trying to rectify them is akin to that old saw, "
When you're up to your ass in alligators, it's hard to remember that you
were initially just trying to drain the swamp."
During our conversation, he stopped me and asked if I could hold on
while he brought his manager on line, and then asked me to start over again.
After his manager signed off, David identified him as the President of GL.
They ARE concerned about what we THINK, even more than what we say.
So it is safe to say that their heart is in the right place. Lets all
remember "The road to Hell is paved with good intentions." As a result,
their trying to improve the system is going to bring about change, both good
and bad. Things may get clunky, photos get transposed, pictures of snowbanks
with lot signs stuck in them not necessarily being the norm. They don't
need us calling our congressman just yet. Cause the congressman may decide
this is an issue he can sink his teeth into at this time, and congressman
can become a totally loose cannon, shooting all of us. Like maybe stopping
all sales for a year while they decide if 'MILITARY STUFF' needs to be sold
to civilians at all.
Let's keep emailing David our concerns, and continue discussing the
problems on list, but let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater. They
consider us one of their target audiences. Proof of that is the inside front
cover of the latest MV Magazine.
As Ronnie said, "Trust, but verify".
