LOL, you won't find any 4:56's in a junk yard I'm sure
also M1008 is shorter duel wheel axle. Only used on 1 tons.

HMMMMMMMM, I've been under impression Blazers (M1009)
are 3:42's (but never actually looked)
(I spit on Blazers, patooey)

But it should would take a long time fleeing a battefield with something
like a 3:07

The rear end and front end on M1008s and M1009s are the same that are on
any GM Blazer or 4x4 pickup. You can get replacement rear ends out of any
junk yard, just make sure you get the right gear ratio. The M1008 has 456:1
and the M1009 has 307:1
