Re:M37 Engine Color

Hi Corey, if you haven't been there already do a search for " WWII Dodge
Motor Pool ". Engine and engine compartment coloring is discussed there and
although the site is geared toward WWII Dodges I don't think there is much
of a difference between WWII and M series paint schemes. When I was
restoring my M37 I painted my engine
  with Hi-Temp engine primer in preperation for a second coat of grey but
the primer is sort of a smoke white and I decided I liked the color so I
left it like that. I've been told that both a metallic silver or a pale grey
were used at the factory but that may or may not be true.
