If and when you drain fluid completely, factor in a thorough flush. Mixing of
DOT 3 and DOT 5 will eventually have a very very negative effect. Brakes are
a no short cut deal when talking of a single cylinder master cylinder on a
13000# vehicle. Denatured alcohol or copious amounts of the desired brake
fluid should be used for the flush. Personally, if I flushed my system
either to change types of fluid or because of unknown fluid, I would push no
less than 1/2 gallon of my fluid of choice before I would refill and bleed
the system. You just can't be too careful when fooling with this
stuff.....Kenny
