I had the same problem with my M35, the flasher was intermitent,
checked everything out, wasn't the light switch, connector or
harness, it was the flasher controller located under the hood on the
left wheel well about a foot from the firewall. It has a single
cannon plug with a ground lead that attaches to one of the controller
attach bolts. Had it replaced in about 5 minutes. Have not had a
problem since.
