Naw, I will leave foolhardy improbable amphibious adventures to
"Half-Safe" and its late owner. The thought of venturing into the open
sea in a Duck is bad enough, but in a Seep (GPA), he was certainly
game?
The thought of driving an M8 Greyhound long distance is painfull. Not
exactly ergonomic. Then there is the compulsory air-conditioning.....
Owning such a vehicle really does give you an inkling of what the
crews went through. Can you imagine the suffering in the extreme
weather of the Ardenne in an open turreted vehicle?
Or crewing a M3A1 White Scout Car in the Western Desert? They have
compulsory heating........
But if you are happy to kick in the shipping cost, well, that's a
whole different proposition! :-)
