Hello Mike,
As far as I know they are almost the same, it is possible to put a 3/4 ton
gear box in a
1/2 ton Dodge and a 3/4 ton transfer case in a 1/2 ton Dodge. The 1/2 ton
Dodge however has a different axle gear ratio. We have done it once and it
worked, no problems. I only don't know for sure if the universal joints were
the same.
