There are two styles of frame extensions used on the G-742 series trucks. One type is fabricated, the other is stamped. You can legitamately find either type on any vintage truck. (I have a photo of one of the very earliest of these trucks, with the "late" (fabricated) style installed on it in my collection)
The entire winch driveline is interchangeable as an assembly, but you can't mix gas and multifuel complenents within the assembly.

Hope this helps,
David
