It's one of those government "feel good" programs where they "showing the
citizens" that they are doing all that they can to stop terrorists who might
get real military clothing and invade our bases or commit other crimes under
the disguise of US Military personnel. What a crock! Even if DRMO & GL
demil these items you can still get "Mil-Spec" gear and BDUs from many, many
surplus sources without any hassle at all. The look exactly the same as
real issue but just not as well built. Also, if you've gone to any bases
lately you know how hard it is to get on, even in uniform. If the
Government ever had a clear thought they would sell everything that's not a
weapon or weapon system to help defray the cost of running the military.
But then when's the last time the Government had a thought that didn't line
their own pockets?
