I have seen some new reinforced plastic sheeting at the local Menards home store that is designed for muliyear use. The stuff has threads running through it
and it is very tough stuff. The black would probably be the best UV resisitant material. A very large sheet comes in a roll for about $100 that would be easy
to fit across a framework of wood to make a temporary shelter. I think the heaviest stuff I saw was 8 or 10 mils thick.
